I’m expecting CJ to only play around 15 minutes also as he had a high workload last night, but we can’t afford to sit anymore

I think he gets more than that. I don't think CJ gets enough credit (he actually gets hated on for playing with a hand injury) for being kind of a work horse last year. Played 75 games, his most since the 17/18 season and 35.3 mpg, 3rd most in his career. Set a good example for Zion and BI that hey, when your team needs you, you can play banged up.

This game is the teams call no doubt though.

I wonder what his teammate's think when they see that he is out for “rest” in game 5 lol

Ask most of the other teams in the NBA when they do it for their starts on B2Bs. You act as if this is not a common thing in the NBA.

When will the NBA just do away with back to backs when it come to scheduling?

Exactly! Not hard to do and with the millions invested in these players, it should be a priority. Also, even with the B2Bs, how the hell do they give teams B2B AND make them travel? Makes no sense.

Again at the end of the day find a way to play Zion 50 plus games and be in the playoffs. If the this is part of the plan- I just hope they’re right.

CJ does not get the abuse that a player like Zion gets in a game. He should be fine for 20-25 minutes. BI needs to man up and take up the slack with Zion having a rest day.

I expected Zion would be out with the team plane issues

I mean, it's not like they asked him to go work on the plane.

this man zion rested the whole 2nd half of last season as well as on defense all last night. hell does he need more rest for

Agreed, he’s well rested enough. If he needs to play basketball to get in basketball shape, play him. Can’t just play reduced minutes instead not playing?

I’ve worked 10 to 12 hour days for most of my life( I’m 57) How can a 23 year old man not be able to play a basketball game for an hour? I’m being serious, I really don’t understand

BI officially has a new injury designation:

Knee Tendinitis

So there's that.

I don’t understand what people expected with back to back and plane issues. I completely agree with you here regards to CJ. Not sure why people thought otherwise.

Dude, it's game five. Yes, you could expect it because this training staff has been overly cautious Zions entire career, but it doesn't make ok. Load management in game five is just another overly cautious/needless move and doesn't benefit the team or Zion at all.

zion wouldn't need rest bc of a plane delay if he wasn't a fat arse that couldn't dunk.

Second game of B2B, team plane issues, Pistons aren't very good, and it is clearly a resting situation not "soreness" don't really understand why everyone is tripping.

He's 23

We are 5 games into the season

He himself has only played in like 110 games in his entire career

And they are resting him
