Whether it's flu or just sick, my point still stands, nothing changes. So again, you think he's calling out sick just like you or I would?
I think that if my team was relying on me, it would be extremely difficult to keep me off that court tonight. I do not believe Zion feels the same way about tonight’s game. I’m sorry, but I do not give Zion the benefit of the doubt any longer. And it amazes me that so many seem to.

I really really need him to play this one

So to be clear on things, you believe he would party prior to the biggest professional game of his career, but not that he would take an open chance to avoid national criticism?
I would go on to ask why you think he’s missed most every national game, the majority of his professional career thus far, why he showed up out of shape to start his career, out of shape to start this season, why he had his mom as his nutritionist, left the team to go to Oregon, impregnated an instagram (insert favorite word), chose not to follow his rehab, required a team meeting to start the season, and has guys like Jose stating the team told him what he needed to hear?
In regards to your first question- yes this is very common and could be deemed immature but happens a lot. Hes 22, multimillionaire and in vegas. Hes not the only NBA player to do so. Rodman did this several times and heck Jordan went to the casino before ECF game. The difference is they still performed at a high level and were in shape.
In regards to your next questions- what does this have to do with him being sick today? Hes been injured, out of shape and immature but that doesn’t mean he can’t be sick or hes faking it.
What he does in his social life is not our business and doesn’t matter. Anthony Edwards impregnated his intagram girl and wants her to get an abortion- frankly it doesn’t matter as long as he produces on the court.
All I’m saying is you’re combining all your frustrations and thinking a coincidence of him being sick today is some crazy conspiracy rather than him just being sick.

Please tell us how many games in the NBA you have played while being sick because your team needed you? Heck how many college games have you played while you were sick? High school? Biddy? Since you’re saying Zion should have your mentality.

I used to cook in biddy as a John Stockton/ Jason Kidd hybrid.

I agree though it was memorable and some good times. I liked football and baseball too but basketball was just different.

Mikal Bridges has played in over 400 straight games without missing.
At some point, it's a mindset. You have to play hurt and sick. Nobody feels 100% at this point in the season..

Probably Dyson to keep Trey’s scoring coming off the bench.
This is the part that most people missed when they melted about Dyson starting the last game. It's as much about setting up the 2nd line as it is the starting lineup. Letting Trey come off the bench puts that second scorer on the floor when BI or CJ checks out in the 1st quarter.
It also lets Dyson and Herb start out defending the other team's guards, making them work hard to get a rhythm going and putting miles on their legs. Even without Zion, we have a pretty stout offensive lineup with JV/CJ/BI and Herb in the corner.

I tried to play a high school game with the flu running fever my junior year. I felt terrible all day at school but I wasn't going to miss school and miss the game, plus i hadn't missed a day of school since kindergarten when i had the chicken pox. This was in 2000 so i thought i could be like MJ and have a flu game. I sucked. I don't think i scored. I played maybe 1/3 of the game at most when i'd normally play the entire game without coming out, and i probably had 4 or 5 turnovers. I felt terrible, and it showed, as I was a detriment to the team being out there.
I missed the next day of school. Ruined my perfect attendance through high school, as no one else in my grade had perfect attendance when we graduated out of 170 people, and that was the only day i missed.

You literally picked the only guy in the NBA who’s done that. Every superstar in the nba has continuously missed games. Mikal is not even an all star by the way and wasn’t even the go to guy on his team until midseason last year.

I think people forget it also put us in a 20 point hole against the Wiz. If we do start Dyson, he needs to be aggressive offensively and defensively. Not just pass up or clank open 3s.

Baw is ducking Ja Morant as usual. He’s done it in like 90% of their matchups in the past 5 seasons. Nothing to see here. Just more of the same ole shite from Z.

Yea you're getting roasted for this for some reason but I'm with you.
If I see Zion listed as questionable with an illness, my first thought is not "o he must actually be sick." He may have the flu, I don't know, but I think it's much more likely he's being held out for rest or he has some cold that is a good enough excuse for the team to not get penalized for doing load management on a primetime game.

Out of curiosity, why do you think he was a no show for the Lakers game? Is it your opinion he just “had a bad game”?
Out of curiosity, why do you think CJ was a no show? What about BI? Jonas? Does the fact that none of them had more than 9 points or 4 rebounds not seem odd to you? Or that Jonas finished with only 3 rebounds? Is it your opinion that they "just had a bad game"? Or, is it not within the realm of possibilities that 6 of the 7 best players on the team having their worst game of the season on the same night might have something more in common than Zion being fat?
Since the Vegas criticism of his rebounding effort, Zion has had 3 of his strongest rebounding performances. Do you really think Zion wouldn't want to play against one of the worst rebounding teams in the league? When they played opening night, he posterized JJJ twice and Memphis had absolutely no answer for him. But, you think he is trying to duck the team that he dominated because it is on TNT?

Yeah this is not only 100% speculation; it’s also silly speculation.
