Yes or no?

Clearly something isn’t working.

1000% yes. This isn’t even a question at this point.

He'd still be an absolute bull at 6'6 250 with elite athleticism. I've thought all along that he needs to be around 250, maybe even in the 240 range.

It's just not functionally smart to want to play at 285 with only being 6'6, that's an insane amount of mass that your lower half is absorbing whenever you run/cut/jump.

For sure but there is no way in hell you can expect this dude to cut 50lbs and keep it off lol. That would be hard for a very disciplined person to do, now imagine Zion trying to lmao

The specific weight thing is tough to discuss. Nobody truly knows what was his heaviest weight and what his lightest weight was. If he truly was 285 at Duke I'm not sure 250 is a realistic figure.

260 would be ideal - it’s the diet.

Word was that he had a private chef available 24/7. This is half/more than half the battle - someone should look into this immediately.

A strict diet consisting of Whole Foods/proteins would be incredible for him.

Eating disorders are all mental, fellas.

The Pelicans need to have someone supporting him every step of the way. If he would understand this, it would be helpful.

Maybe that's what Z needs...some psychiatric support. Idk

250-260, yes. He should also be doing yoga an hour a day ala CJ's stretching routine. The rumors are that he is just too out of shape to play basketball...in the playoffs... that's insane from any player but especially a "star."

i mean there was an article that mentioned or indirectly mentioned suicidal thoughts or mental struggles a while back. That's already been a thing to me.

If you're 200 lbs, it'd be tough to cut 50, but when you're 300 and have a personal chef and training staff catering to your every need. it's not that hard.

I have a buddy who is really big, he got up to like 350 at one point. The dude lost like 70 pound by eating good and... walking. There's no excuse for Zion to be overweight. Hell he might not even be that overweight, it's always hard to tell until you see him in a uniform with the way he dresses in casual clothes. But if he is, there's no excuse other than being lazy and terrible eating habits.

He gets down to 250 then gets hurt and goes back up again. Just need him to focus and be committed

The best we can hope is he can play at 270-275 versus the 290ish he played this year.
