BI will no longer be there to carry the team
BI is hurt most of the time anyway. Or it takes him forever to get back to normal off the injury. Will only get worse as he ages.

Murray has always said he's going to tell you what you need to hear whether it hurts your feelings or not. He's not going to beat behind the bush and will be honest when he sees something that needs to be said. It's been said that Williamson responds better to tough coaching, so Murray probably has the type of personality Williamson responds to.
This, to me, is exactly why it's foolish to try to build a contender around Zion. Please tell me any finals team in history with their best player entirely devoid of leadership qualities, much less one that has to be told to put in the absolute bare minimum effort.
The closest you will probably come is Shaq, but aside from being overweight at times, Shaq absolutely took his shite seriously. It's also fairly uncontroversial to suggest Kobe was the alpha by their last chip.

Shaq was also 7ft 2, so that helped as well
He wasn’t just an under the rim layup dude getting his shite packed in the most in the entire league.
He had actual post moves. Rarely got his shot blocked. Was a defensive presence in the paint in that era of real basketball. Vs whatever the hell this era is with every team spamming 45 threes a game.

In his career, he doesn't average anywhere close to a single shot blocked per game, it's 0.5 lmao. FOH with this dumbass take. Go talk to the kids, that's closer to your level.

Year 5 of trying to convince me Zion has matured. What have we come to

Zion is more like Barkley when he was at Houston.
Zion wishes he could be like Sixers or Suns Barkley.
BTW: Barkley missed 21 games his first 5 years in a much tougher and low scoring game.
Zion couldn't hold Barkley's jock strap

In that case, why do you even care enough to post?

DJ, CJ, Zion, Trey, Herb, Missi, Jose, hawk is a solid core. That’s a LOT of talent mixed with some good dudes.

If CJ had a new contract around 15-20mil for 2-3 years then he would be a part of our "core"
He is 33 y/o and making +30mil. CJ and BI on the roster are preventing us from our future core. How good they are at this point is irrelevant.
And like Supe12 said DJ can be the leader now.
One thing people aren't acknowledging is that Hawk isn't the answer so far at SG and Herb is taking SG minutes. The only reason people want to keep CJ is because we have no extra firepower there. Well CJ isn't the future solution either so y'all aren't fixing a damn thing.

I don’t think you know how to read bro. I said Zion gets his shot blocked a lot (most in the league).
Posted on 1/20/25 at 6:19 am to 3PieceSpicy
1 shot blocked every 2 games is not a lot bro. He also attempts more shots in the paint than all of those players and scores at a MUCH higher percentage than ALL of his peers. Jokic and Giannis included.
You are wrong on this one. With yo spicy arse. Pause.
