I wouldn't think so considering we already gave up our 2nd rounder and the Pats probably want too much

No. The Pats aren't trading Butler.

With coming back from that type of neck injury Breaux had really no business playing special teams. I put the blame on the Saints for that call

Why? He didn't hurt his neck on special teams? I don't see how it's related

Good, time to move on. He isn't healthy in training camp. He might play 4 games this season. He had all year to be at 100% for camp.

i'm wondering if this x-ray coming back more severe than originally thought has changed the calculus here.

No, not time to move on. You can't cite, as a franchise that he is injury prone, and then try and trade him when he gets injured. You know he is fricking injury prone so you should trade him when he's actually healthy. That was the time to move on. But what do you expect when visionless Mickey loomis is running things

I'm sure glad the medical staff and trainers working in conjunction with the position coaches and the head coach didn't screw this up like Loomis did. That would really be troublesome.

He has zero value right now, so unless this is some type of motivational ploy its fricking stupid. Plus he makes what$620? we bleed that in much in cap hit money on any given week.

Ya he is more valuable to us then anyone else

Makes no sense to pout that he is hurt again and try and trade him now. That'll show em loomis!!!

You assume the Saints leaked this and not Breaux's camp. I honestly don't think it was the Saints that put this out there.

Why didn't they just come out and say he wants to be dealt?

I think a response like that gives the story legs and could cause locker room issues. I dunno. It just doesnt make sense to me for them to put the story out there. Maybe Chip is trying to force the Saints hand. The corners on the field looked pretty good to me. He may be afraid of being benched.

Yeah if if Ken "PI" Crawley is beating out Breaux we've got to hope that Lattimore lives up to his draft billing soon.

Meh. One of those was a shite call if I am not mistaken. He's aggressive for sure. I like him. I think he has some upside.

Been a bit busy lately and this thread spiraled.

So,
(1) leak Saints want to trade Breaux
(2) Breaux has an unknown issue
(3) Next day reports say he is in a boot
(4) Can't trade an injured player

Is that where we are?

Because the franchise came out and said this, right? No, Nick Underhill reported it from a source within the organization.

Don't be fooled by the injuries that I got
I'm still, I'm still D-"Breaux on the Block"
Used to have a little, now I have a lot
No matter where I go, I know where I came from (from the Boot!)

Sorry, couldn't help myself.
