I think it is easier for a player to get traded by saying they want to be traded as opposed to pretending they are the front office by leaking a story like this

There's no difference. Intent is the same. He should have bee traded when healthy if they were scared of his injury history. Not actually when he gets hurt again. Bottom line

what if, and i mean what if, the Saints are doing this as a negotiating tactic? Proving to Breaux that he is not worth what he thinks he is worth. Maybe the Breaux camp is trying to push for a new contract knowinf they are another year off, but pushing?
not saying this is the case, but there is always more to a story than it seems.

I think that what went down was CSP told someone to leak a possible trade to encourage Breaux to get back on the field and prove that he wants to be here while at the same time having the medical staff do some additional x-rays to make sure that he wasn't faking. Lo and behold, he's not faking.
The trade story goes away because you can't trade an injured player and some other camp news comes up such as practice in LA which will push this story down.
CSP doesn't need to make further comment on the trade rumor because the only player on our roster that cannot be traded is Brees. We have seen from the Jimmy Graham trade and the Kenny Stills trade that any and all players on the roster are available at the right price.
