Malachi could end up being the steal of the draft if his combine doesn’t sneak him into the first rd
Drawing comps to Josh sweat with the #1 athleticism score and a 4.52 40. Oof.

I like Bell a lot. Reminds me of Brandon Marshall. I believe he will require a 2nd rd pick

Love had an official meeting with the Saints

Tight ends are making some money at the combine

Roush ran 4.70 but has some interesting explosive measures given his size (6'6" 267)

Kenyon Sadiq is now a high target at 1.8, too.

1.8 seems really high for a TE. And while I agree that TE needs to be upgraded, I feel like the front office likes J. Johnson.

“Tight end” by definition, but an explosive player on a team that has none.
The draft board dictates what is too early and what isn’t, not outdated draft speak. This is the same argument for J. Love

Johnson is a backup caliber TE that gets numbers on a bad team with no weapons

Maybe if we were picking in the 20s. He’s not a Bowers level guy

I wasn’t implying that he is a 1st rd option
Posted on 2/28/26 at 10:09 am to Lester Earl
Yeah I doubt the Saints go that route but if he can block like the position requires he’s immediately a mismatch nightmare from the tight end spot with that speed. Sadly he will probably be a luxury pick in the late first for a team that’s already very good.

He’s shouldn’t be placed in a traditional TE box.
But Same with Love, drafting a playmaker isn’t a luxury pick when you don’t have any playmakers and you have what you think is a franchise QB. This is draft priority #1 and it’s not really debatable
