This is the correct approach to force change; unfortunately Gayle could double ticket prices, charge $25 per beer, extend Loomis contract to 2035 and hire Ed Orgeron as coach and the majority of this board would support her because she is one of us and is not a threat to move the team.

If they lost half the season ticket holders and 90% of apparel sales, how much would that affect their revenue? Honest question; I have no idea how much of their revenue is baked-in (TV) vs variable.

Agree, which is why Winston and I share the idea of making her a pariah in New Orleans.
Gayle used the same tactic of making Rita a pariah to curry favor from her husband to inherit the team. It can work.

That’s all good and well, but it’s not far fetched to suggest Loomis, the scouting group, and the team do tor have performed just as poorly. Why are they still here?

Loomis has conned her into her making him the owner de facto. He apparently doesnt have to answer to anyone and can make up whatever lies he wants with no consequences.

She’s only accountable to the collective 31 other franchises of the NFL.
She owns a franchise of an entertainment company.
As I’ve said before here, Saints fans will have mediocrity until she dies, then upon her death there will be a sale and (probably) the franchise will move from NOLA.
That’s reality. She’s not competitive. She doesn’t know how to be competitive. She won’t force the folks who work for her to be competitive.
It’s a reason Payton left.

Payton left because team has no QB and salary cap issues and talent issues from several bad drafts of which he was a main part of so instead of staying to clean up his mess he left for a better opportunity

This is why I'm hesitant to lay ALL of this at Loomis' feet. Do we really believe that Mickey Loomis walked into the first meeting in the offseason and said "Alright coaches, scouts, Gayle, everyone... here's what we're going to do!"
WAY better chance that Payton and his giant ego walked into those meetings every year and proclaimed that "all he needed was a playmaker in the secondary", and hence we get players like Jairus Byrd --- and in the process, Loomis just kept kicking the salary cap can down the road to try and keep Payton from leaving.

It might take a billboard on Airline Dr across from the Saints facility to exert the kind of pressure needed for her to pull the trigger on removing the rot in management, specifically Loomis.
