even the manning brothers + drew mocked JW that you just have to make that throw.

Sorry to disagree with U, Drew & the Mannings but JW made the smart play in that situation & I guarantee thats what CSP told him afterwards. The way the pressure came JW would've had to SkyHook the ball, blindly over 2 edge rushers that were right in his grill. Takin the sack & settling for the FG at the end of a tied game inside the 15yd line with under a minute to go in the 4th Qtr was absolutely the right play IMO at least!!

31st in the league in passing.

Saints pass the ball 47% of the time, the least amount in the league by a wide margin.

Saints run the ball 52% of the time, most in the league by a wide margin.

Same dudes crying for years about Payton never running the ball (which has always been a false narrative) are the ones bitching about Winston

Winston has underperformed the expectations of those who thought he would be great as well as of those who thought he would be a turnover machine. He has been a very boring, average QB that has managed the offense well with minimal mistakes. That is simply the truth of the matter.

This board has become embarrassing with how contentious it has become and how it mimics the poli board. It is divided into two sides: Those who obnoxiously think Winston is performing lights out vs Those who obnoxiously think he is sucking. There is no amount of logic or reason that shows in any of the posts from either camp; it is strictly emotional babbling and spamming.

LOL. It appears you said a lot to say nothing at all. Your post is basically emotional babbling.

Jameis has been just fine, he isnt the problem, if youre too dumb to see that then you cant be helped. Most have simply said he’s played well, and needs some help with some good pass catchers. Obviously he’s on pace for a 30/10 type td/int season which most on here though would be pretty damn good especially with low int totals.

Saints trusted Michael Thomas and he screwed us. Brees wouldve gotten every last rib shattered trying to make plays with this WR crew.

Stoo your emotional babbling and shut up already.

Much of the night in Seattle he looked confused and scared. I’ve never seen that expression on a QBs face before.

He looked like a child when he went after Tre’Quan. To me that’s not alpha behavior.

CSP should receive an award for his work with Winston. As long as Winston adheres to the program, he will continue to improve, but I keep seeing glimpses of the old Jameis... complete loss of composure... I saw CSP observe the tirade Winston had with Smith. Feeling pretty sure it was noted "To Be Addressed"...

I'm still watching and waiting for his progression. He seems to be really inaccurate in many of his throws but then again, his receivers are not holding their breaths to wait for the Pro-bowl to be calling either.
Still, I wish him well...but we'll see. Saints have fallen a notch or two.

He has nobody to throw to. Our guys wouldn’t make a lot of rosters. A few of those deep balls should have been caught but instead he gets blame. He isn’t a great QB but a guy can’t exactly build much without tools.

People refuse to acknowledge that we don’t have weapons for him that can catch the ball. The dropped passes against Seattle should have made them realize, but it hasn’t.

Not a fan of Winston, but if we are being real Brees was nothing but a game manager the last few years and we still contended for championships. We've got a good to great defense and a great offensive line, no receiving threat other than our rb. Winston has done a good job with what he has and I dont get the hate. He missed 2 throws last game that were bad, but he made a couple of great deep throws and has 0 help from the wrs. Those catches happen and everyone is talking differently. He's made some great decisions on tucking the ball and running all season long. Again, not a Winston fan, but I think he's done a good job.

He is on pace for 40td and 10int season, with the options that he has in the wideout core I would say this is pretty great.

Yall expect Winston to do in 6 games what drew Brees did in 14 years.

Yall need to think in reverse. Our defense is our old offense, and our offense now is our old defense. Guess what? As long as we win, it doesn't matter. A ugly win is a win. What makes this situation better is that the team is showing promise. They just have to get healthy. You haven't seen them at full steam and they should be 5-1 right now.

I don't see how any true Saint fan can be so negative given what we have saw so far.

Truth be told, if Brees played in the playoffs conservative like Winston is playing now, we would have another 1-2 superbowls.

I've seen some decent things from Crablegs. I think he wants to win and is committed to getting better. His mindset seems to be on taking care of the ball and has shown some good pocket ability. But he has no weapons outside Kamara. These WRs can't get separation against anyone. I'm starting to think Brees' 10 yard passes were justified and not just due to a weak arm.

I just don't think it's fair to fully judge him until he plays with a WR core that isn't made up of a bunch of practice squad caliber players.

He has shown flashes of being very capable but that does not mean he will live up to that when we get some weapons.

Our QB play this year has been no different than it was the last two years.

Doesn't make me feel better when the comparison is a 40 year old quarterback not named Tom Brady

Then again he had some incredibly terrible throws that should have been easy tosses.

I take it you have multiple years of QB experience throwing in down pouring rain?

been just an average to above average QB.

That’s all we’ll need if the rest of the team gets healthy.
