Regardless of eye injury he was wobbly man

First after the hit and then walking to the sideline
Cam got rocked as hard as I've seen a QB in the last 10 yrs, spun right into the hit and didn't see it coming.

They let him back in because Carolina needed him (which is BS), and because he's a big dude (which is even more BS, because that's exactly the way guys get hurt bad).

Honestly, I thought he was stoned all day. Looked loopy in the first series.

I have looked at that play repeatedly and never could figure out where the head injury came from. No helmet to helmet. The foot to the face was never to the face with the shield there.

Pretty sure he went down to allow backup qb to get loose

They didn't do it at all. The team neurologist "cleared" him. He was standing on the sideline the next play

Plus during that play he was grabbing his left eye and then on the sideline he had ice on his right side.

I remember one time I got an eyelash in my eye and my legs buckled under me....on 2d down!

Then you're willfully ignoring it. Dude spun out of a tackle (although, not really- his knee was down). He spun around, building a lot of inertial energy, and went blindly right into a defensive lineman coming full steam. His head took a big shot.
You don't need helmet-to-helmet to be concussed on that.

they did the protocol

Team Doctor: You don't have a concussion.

Newton: I don't have.... a concussion?

Team Doctor: He's good!

He acted like it was his eye to avoid concussion protocol. You aren’t slow to get up and drop again on your way to the sideline because you got poked in the eye. Plus nothing ever touched his eye. His shield stayed in place and nothing ever went past it.

The fact that Newton did not miss a series is a joke.

Remember that a concussion is a brain injury.

If @Panthers did a concussion test, but only in tent and not locker room, after Cam's vertical instability, that would seem counter to the @NFL revised concussion policy.

No, no they didn’t.

Y'know, without being an arse about it, I wonder if it's harder to tell if Cam has a concussion than, say, Brees.
You'd know if Brees was mumbling and slumped, something was wrong. With Cam, that's his SOP

I agree. Every time I get something in my eye I fall to the ground half way to where I am going

Totally agree. The nfl doesn't care about the health of these players. It's all about tv ratings. Period!

NFL Concussion Protocol:

Team Doctor: “What team are you playing against right now, Cam?”

Cam: “Dilly Dilly”

Team Doctor: “He’s good. Put him in.”
