You're an idiot. Where in the hell would he play? We already have Deuce and have a similar guy in Moore. Dumb pick.

Duece? and Rickey Jackson as our OLB?

Harvin's another weapon for Mr. Bree's. Lets score 60 a game.....and just give up 58.

deal with it

You've got more balls than I do Pratt. I've been thinking this since the Sharper signing but didn't want to post it because of the bashing that was sure to follow.

The bottom line is Harvin is going to be a very dangerous weapon for some team that can find a way to use him. And the Saints should be exactly the type of team that can do it.

We already have serious top flight speed with Bush and Devery, and its only a matter of time before NFL teams start using these dynamic types of athletes all over the field to attack defenses the way they have started doing it in college.

Everyone said Meyer's spread wouldn't work in the SEC because the Ds were too fast. Well, Florida shreaded everyone last year, and eventually a coach with some vision is going to put the same type of show on in the NFL.

Imagine a lineup with Colston, Devery, Shockey, Bush in the backfield and Harvin in the slot. Or you could go 4 wide with Shockey on the bench and Thomas in the backfield with Bush and Harvin at wides.

Pretty sure Brees wouldn't mind the pick.

And for the record, Bush and Harvin are NOT the exact same type of player.

I'm all for taking BPA, and there is a good chance that'll mean Harvin.

Crabtree > Harvin > Moreno > Maclin > Wells

IMO as far as offensive skilled positions go

FWIW I was talking to one of the vikings defensive coaches last night and he said Sharper was a good pick up for us...he will fit better in GW's scheme than he did in Minn....he is a leader and a real asset in the locker room!

I'm not saying the saints should draft him because they really don't need him but Harvin will be one of the top three players in this draft and he will be much better than whoever the saints draft at 14. Harvin is better than mclain and crabtree. This post Is not a joke and it's not sarcasm or a level .

Our offense is the best in the league. The only thing to our offensive game we don't have is a clock eating mode. So if we are going to pick an offensive skill position I want a clock eating running back. That guy appears to be Wells.

We were about the middle of the league in TOP. So if we are leading the league in about every offensive statistic and then increase are ability to eat clock it will be very hard to keep up with our offense.

Best point I've heard so far for a running back.

If the saints were able to trade back to say the mid 20's and get a 2nd round pick Percy Harvin wouldn't be that much of a reach for the saints to draft. He is one of those players that may not make sense to draft now (kind of like Deuce when he was drafted) but will be a huge impact player his whole career. We obviously do not need him in the immediate future, but could be an asset in the next few years. Think about it. The premium impact players in the draft aren't necessarily drafted as a need to their team. They just happen to prove themselves elite and useful at their particular position.
