Is it really that untrue? They haven't played a complete game since mid November

Did our home average drop that much after the last game? We were up around 38 or so at one point at home. Steelers game didn't drop it that much and I wouldn't even count yesterday's game in the equation.

The Bengal and Eagle games arent typical NFL victories. Our fans began to expect us to win every game like this and it just doesnt happen
The final 5 games featured 3 on the road, 3 vs divisional opponents, and 2 vs DAL & PIT. Those are tough games to win down the stretch when everyone is jockeying for playoff positioning.
None of the regular season games will have any bearing once we play on 1/13

Certainly not in the record but no one can argue that either the offense or the defense has been consistent. They've had ups and downs.

In 2006 on this very board when the “hot” eagles were coming to the dome someone posted an article breaking down teams w/l in the playoffs when going in on a win streak. It proved you very wrong
It's probably because teams on winning streaks going into the playoffs NEEDED them to make the playoffs. See this year's Colts, Eagles, etc.
The teams with big division leads can relax a little bit and end up struggling or dropping games. The Chiefs, Pats, and Rams all lost back-to-back games in the final 4.
The Colts and Bears are the only two playoff teams to win their final 4 games.
