Always good to celebrate the franchise's birthday on All Saints Day with a W

I feel like there is a segment of the population that doesn’t grasp why you burn the rest of the clock there.

I don't get leaving that much time. I do understand if you have an issue you can kick a 2nd time, but would have been devastating to not make the kick there and then lose.
I don't know. I am no coach and glad we won. I won't criticize too much here.

We just witnessed the blue print by the refs that gets the Saints beat in the playoffs.

Payton was awful today. I have to admit it. The defense won the game today.

I like the call. Went all in on Lutz and showed huge confidence in him even after his earlier shank. Lutz has got to be feeling sky high right now.

Those are the same people who don’t understand why Todd Gurley scoring a TD with time left on the clock was the wrong thing to do

There was no whistle on the forward progress fumble call.
There was no crowd noise to cover up a whistle.
The refs, broadcast team, and Mike Pereira are all liars.

The ref 5 feet from it that would blow his whistle threw his beanie for a fumble. It was BS

the closest official to the play (and who's call it should have been) threw the blue bean bag (indicating a potential turnover) and gave the ball to the Saints
no idea how they overturned his call... he was right on top of it

In both college, or the NFL, how many times have you had the “special guest“ former official disagree or criticize the on field refs?
The idea that they don’t have some sort of professional bias is ridiculous. They may even give the wrong opinion, then come up with excuses for the on field refs If they go against their opinion

The reason for no whistle is because they are told to let it play out if it's close. We got screwed twice in a 2 or 3 week span 2(?) years ago (or maybe even last year) because they blew the whistle early instead of letting it play out.
Whether his progress was actually stopped or not, that's a different argument. I lean to yes his progress was technically stopped for a second, but it looked like he was still trying to go forward which should constitute a continuation of play imo.
I think the rule should be changed from forward progress to a player needs to be giving himself up (NOTICEABLY pushed back or falls to the ground). This barely pushed a yard back shite is a joke when guys still try to push forward.

Can someone explain the review and tv coverage experts take on the throw to the WR of chicago going to the sideline?
I think it was on a scoring drive late in game and not sure it was caught going out of bounds with one foot down but they talked about his shin being down?
Is it not two feet anymore?
Anyone else remember

Seems to be more like 2 points of contact than 2 actual feet. Like if you could somehow touch down with 1 knee and 1 elbow before anything else touched out that would be in. 1 foot and your arse. 1 elbow and a forearm. Etc.
