It's like we're fricking allergic to drafting LB's in the 1st round.

Sharper is out

maybe so, but not sure

If anything, I guess this is insurance if Sharper does go, but really, would you rather Sharper in your backfield, or an unproven rookie??

Oh well! I'm going to trust Gregg Williams with what he feels is best for the defense

What this tells me is that the Saints feel really good about picking up Albert and McIntosh for their DT and OLB voids.

Maybe they are gambling that bowman is still on the board in the second.

GW has proven his D can be good w/ mediocre OLB....when our top CB's went down we sucked on D.....this might be a better pick than a LB......

(at least I'm trying)

Well, after having thought about it, if the Saints are really ready to move Jenkins to FS, I'm ok with this move. I really don't think Jenkins can play corner in this league because he has no makeup speed. Also, maybe the Saints have a trade in the works to get a high 2nd round pick for Brown. They could still get a top LB or DL.

Yea I'm going to go ahead and trust the coaches here. I would like to think that they know a little more about the needs of the team than us. Time will tell.

Guy looks like Porter on film and in measurables, good enough for me.

THIS IS WHAT WE DO!!!!!!

Saints trade Jamal Brown to Redskins for Rocky Mcintosh and a draft pick. Greg Williams gets his guy and we improve on Defense!...Loomis knows what hes doing!..

Who else agrees!

Finks would have never drafted a corner in the 1st round...

Hard to imagine Pat Robinson was BPA on the board. There is no convincing me of that fact.

I'm shocked Drew didn't look down at the card and say, "WHAT?!?!? fricking CB?!?!?"

What i dont like though is that if we were going with a CB we could have got one later on if we are going to move Jenkins to FS and gone with a DE or OLB

we drafted a 5'11" corner??

What the frick does his height have to do with it. Porter and Greer are both 5'11".

Jenkins to FS I guess

This. Otherwise, I see no point to draft a CB as it would mean a rotation of Greer, Porter, Gay, Jenkins, Robinson.

Why can't we draft a high impact outside LB like Washington. Fastest OLB in te draft would have been and extremely solid pick.
