That might not necessarily mean anything though. He'll talk about what happened with his wife before he'll talk about injuries.

Brees told Mike Nabors after the game his goal is to play this week. He wants to practice like he will start and see what happens.

No reason to return against Arizona. Our offense should be able to move the ball without problem against them.

I’m sorry, but this mindset is so fricking stupid. Arizona isn’t playing bad right now. It’s the nfl. We have super bowl aspirations. Home field is important. If he’s healthy, he plays. frick.

...how many games have been lost by the Saints that the fans took for granted? “It’s just the Cards”...I promise you it’s not how Seany P looks at things.

Sounds like he is just tired of the question and wants Teddy to savor the W.

Saints fans, we are 6-1 right now.

Bridgewater's performance is steady.

We blew out the Bears today.

Murray well over 100 yards.

Wtf do you want out of this current team????

If this team can’t win one more game without Brees against fricking Arizona, this team is in trouble.

They have already passed all the tests against the murderers row portion of the schedule.

Lol. It reminds me of what my dad would always tell me: “Don’t argue with an idiot. They’ll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.”

Wouldn’t mind him getting a quarter or so to get used to throwing with the brace in live action. Then use 2 wk to perfect any needed adjustments in motion as a result. Today’s win made it a luxury.

I long ago gave up trying to distinguish trolling and plain dumb assery on this board. t it blends together, and there’s so much of both.

Arizona is trash. The only reason they are "not playing bad" right now is because they hit the soft part of their schedule. You don't play Brees even if healthy. He can be healthy and throw the ball well and grip it but the wound is still fresh. It can be easily aggravated by any hit. Bridgewater has been doing well and will be able to move the ball against them. Rather "overlook" the Cardinals and lose, extend Brees' rest, then rush Brees unnecessarily and potentially cost me the run long term.

If he’s healthy, he plays. You don’t know a single frick about his injury or when he’ll be healed/ready.

Coaches will weigh the decision...just tired of everyone being like sit Kamara, sit Brees, sit whatever until after the bye!!! Like we have games to give away for u cucks’ perceived injury timeline.

Lol, you know Brees is sweating bullets ! It’s the system and coach Payton that make the QB, not the player. Gig is up Drew. Sit your butt down.

Good. I want them to rest anyway. Four weeks of rest should have them feeling good for the Atlanta game and the rest of the season.

Eh. With this team, home field don't make a frick. Both teams who made it to the SB last year were road teams. This team can go on the road to Lambeau and beat the Packers.

The way Atlanta is currently playing, the Saints don't NEED Brees to be back to beat them if the defense plays like it has for the past several weeks. Especially with the Falcons playing in the Dome.

Let Brees come back against the Bucs the following week in their away game.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Sean Payton told Fox broadcasters Sunday that the "plan" and "goal" is for the injured Brees to return to the field next week vs. the Arizona Cardinals, seven weeks after injuring his thumb against the Los Angeles Rams.

"Sean Payton saying before the game the goal to get (Brees) back is against Arizona next week,"

Payton does what???

I hope he dresses and is the backup against Arizona, available if needed. Maybe get a few reps, then come back to start after the bye.

With Carolina sitting at 4-2 and we have to play them twice still, there’s not a lot of room for error. I’d hate to see a scenario where we have to sweat out the division title in week 18 because we didn’t give a ready Brees an opportunity and shite the bed against the Cards.
