Good thing is he is the least of our worries.

I think he clearly is the guy you now build around. Hit the trenches hard in draft and absolutely keep pursuing weapons for him

I mean, he certainly gives you a vision. And building the offense around him takes priority now over just trying to be balanced in adding talent. Still need to have a couple of good drafts and hit on some FAs like we did we Chase Young before I think they’re playoff ready

We need to find a way to make the offense more explosive. Whether that is tweaking the scheme, upgrading the oline so we have more time for plays to develop, or upgrading our skill position players or all of the above, we need to be better at 20+ yard plays.
On defense we need some more get off the field guys/playmakers. Overall, even early in the year, we’ve been really disciplined and in the right place. Someone to eventually replace Demario and another d-end probably the most pressing needs

We need to get Jeremiah Smith in 2027.

Yes and no. Yes we need to be more explosive BUT I don’t think that’s schematic or the direction we should go considering we DID have Shaheed and Cooks, who are smaller, speedier receivers. There aren’t nearly as many explosive plays by any offenses anymore since most defenses are running a two shell and making these QBs make reads and find the open guy.
I think it would be more prudent to go after some more guys who can win over the middle like Vele, maybe even go after a guy like Kyle Pitts and then maybe draft Love from Notre Dame in the first, a Guard in the second, and focus on building the run game and more play action passes to Olave, Pitts, Vele (and maybe a third round WR.) Love himself would give enough explosion in the run game (along with an improved interior OL) to make things easier on Shough and make us a more dangerous offense overall

They beat Carolina. Slow down.

You forget Loomis is at the helm. I wouldn't hold my breath on the rebuild being quick.

Who just beat the Rams, probably the best team in the NFL. Don't diminish what we just accomplished with 3 backup interior lineman playing with 2 street FA RBs.
