If it’s not a 5-7 yard route he just can’t make accurate throws consistently. He just can’t seem to put the ball in right place or in front of the receiver

I just don't understand the math for kicking a FG down 21-0 when you are that close to the endzone.
The difference between 21-0 and 21-3 is almost negligible. It is still a 3 score deficit.

Payton wanted to draft a QB several times in Brees last few seasons & begin to rebuild but Loomis was more worried about protecting Drew's feelings & trying to make one more room when it was painfully obvious that Brees was declining quickly.
