Yeah I remember even in that first game against Carolina he got off to a red hot start with the pressures.
As we know those are just as valuable as sacks. You can't let the quarterback just sit back there and get comfortable.
I don't have a problem with this signing for real.
The whole Carr restructure though has wondering WTF but admittedly I don't really know a lot about the salary cap and I don't really try to I just like talking ball.

Basically it was restructure almost everyone else and then cut Carr post June 1st (and now not have a starting QB), or restructure him and then choose who else was in your long term plans.
Not doing Carr would have stuck us in a lot more "bad" contracts that people always complain about.
