hey at least we have team captain Junior Galette still. Im sure he'll lead us.

Problem for me as well. They admit we had no leadership then get rid of good locker room guys in Pierre and now Lofton but still haven't made a move on Galette.

Let's table this discussion until the end of the next season, when we can accurately assess how things went.

But Loomis does just fine, even though he gives us all stress induced heart attacks

Naw he's pretty worthless actually. He doesn't add anything as far as scouting, drafting, or player development.

he's cap genius though!!! he signs players like Lofton to their deals, and ends cutting them a few years later. Man, that takes talent, let me tell ya

So hopefully we draft someone who can play one of the most important positions on defense and be that guy. You are right. We will be fine.

Perfect... So all of you who are ok with lofton leaving... What happens at lb and who's that leader? Love how no one can answer that.
Well, that's why we have Loomis.

This worries me... Take last season for example.. We had all the star power we needed on defense with galette, lofton, Byrd, Lewis, etc but we had no leadership/experience on the field.. Now we lose our MLB and captain

Seems like we are right back where we started last year...

I'm not saying he's not. Dude doesn't deserve to be glorified at all though. Find a GM that can help draft some fricking talent

I'll say this. This is going to be really good or really bad. We're going to have to rely on the draft this year VERY heavily. We either hit on our picks or this might get a little ugly.

Lofton had his best year last year to the person saying cutting vets who's production in in decline.. I was fine with cutting Jenkins, Harper and smith. But we cut someone who just had his best year with no answer to replace him. He's also one of the most important positions on defense.

Dude. The draft isn't the only outlet for getting players. You are extremely overreacting. They can trade or sign a FA. I'm certain there is someone on the street that can make 144 tackles 4-5 yards down the field.

His best year wasn't great

Go look at the FA LB list, tons of options there and in the draft.

Leaders?

Cam Jordan? Byrd? KV? Lewis? Hicks? Haralson?

We have guys that can step up and be a leader for us.

But you can't pay Lofton the type of $$$ we were gonna pay him for his leadership man.

This past season was Loftons best year? He led all ILB in missed tackles this year and was rated as the 57th ILB this past season, 57th out of 60. But yea this was his best year...

definitely looking forward too it. But as last year showed, things can go south real quick. The thing is, one of the main things that kept being pin pointed was our lack of leadership. Now we've released Pierre and Lofton, each a veteran leader on each side of the ball.

Question is how quick (if at all) can the scouting department put pieces around Brees before he retires

I guess you all don't get it. MLB is the captain of the team... Calls out the plays.. Notices audibles and such. Nah, I'm overreacting to losing that person with no answer. Some you have no clue about football.

there were some young looking guys sitting with Jeff Ireland at the Senior Bowl.

a few of them looked like they went to ITT Tech.
