They're judging Rattler on his rookie season with practice squad players all around him and interim coaching. Never played with Kamara, Taysom, Olave, Shaheed, most OL starters, etc. He was thrown in the fire and at least gained some meaningful nfl experience he'll use to his advantage this year, yet we reach for Shough in draft and automatically think some journeyman college QB that's already a year older with nowhere near the pedigree Rattler had (top ranked QB out of high school against higher level competition who was humbled and still fought through it all when others would've folded) is just automatically better.
It's truly an idiotic thought process but here we are. Shiny new toy syndrome. Still to this day, Rattler has never been on the same field with a full arsenal of NFL players. Shough had more to work with in the 1st half today than Rattler has had in 2 years. Those are facts, not opinions.

Someone already shared the RAS comparison earlier that shows why Shough is a much better athlete. As far as arm talent, it is pretty obviously Shough and it isn’t close. If you can’t see that then you don’t know ball and I can’t help you. Compare Shough and Rattler’s highlight tapes. Shough flashes throws that Rattler will never be able to make. It doesn’t necessary make Shough a better qb than Rattler but Shough has way more talent which is why he was drafted in the 2nd and Rattler in the 5th.

If you don't think Rattler has a cannon then you don't know ball. Honestly, I've never studied Shough arm strength but if he does have more and that's just assuming some metric says he does, it can't be by much, I can promise you that. Did you watch the game today? Saints commentators couldn't stop talking about Rattlers arm strength. Saying he obviously is more talented is wild too. He got drafted higher. That's it. The #1 high school recruit in his entire class has talent.

I'm a Saints guy too but I'm only speaking the truth about Rattler from what I've seen. I mean, doubt there's anyone else on here that's seen more Rattler games than USC fans. If the Saints had some bona-fide starter I wouldn't be saying Rattler should start, but you'll never convince me he's not better than Shough until I see actual evidence of it, which I haven't.
