He's quietly on the trade block of sorts. Giants is a supposed favorite. Cardinals might be looking for draft compensation. 1.3 would be ridiculous to give up for murray imo at this time plus you have to deal with a high murray contract in next couple years.

but... could he be a guy the Saints could be enticed with more than a temporary future with Derek Carr? Does he fit a mold of what Kellen likes in a qb?

No trading that involved losing draft picks for the next 3 drafts.

Does not seem to be a playoff qb to me. Giants would do better to draft a qb at the 3 pick or grab Sam Darnold.

I view him and Tua in the same light. Can have a good regular season and get you to the playoffs (as long as you have a solid roster) but will get shutdown once going up against good defenses

I’d take a healthy Tua over Murray 100/100x. Hrs just such a risk at this point.

Murray is absolutely fools gold to me. If we got off Carrs deal to then be strapped with Bilbo for the foreseeable future that would be depressing as hell.

Might be a slight upgrade over Carr, but in a similar vein. Occasionally flashes like he’s borderline elite but then goes back to being pedestrian.

upgrade in talent, would go backwards making that deal though.

the team is in a rebuild mode based off cap and age

Although a very talented player he's far from the KMoore mold type QB. Height definitely works against him at the NFL level.

He is also plays on a team that is loaded on every level. A lot of QB’s could look good on that team.
