Got me
look man, we are all on the same side, at the end of the day... we all want the Saints to do well, and win... there are going to be things that we see differently, as it relates to the team... I just have a lot of questions as far as our draft philosophy, and it pisses me off when I see teams like Philly simply draft so well, year after year after year, amassing a crazy amount of talent and being a contender every year....

and that's why I have such a problem with the pick... investing more draft capital, in the very next draft at the same position, a position where you only have 1 guy on the field at a time.... if you go WR or CB in back to back year, that's totally understandable... but to go QB in the top 2 rounds in back to back years, that's what limits your ability to add to the overall talent level across the board... same as why the OT in 3 of the past 4 years stings as much as it does
same here. i'll be optimistic and hope it works out. we passed up some really good wrs and cbs at pick 40.

Not sure why everyone is making a huge deal about Shough possibly starting. Its pretty simple, see what he has and if he's good we draft a WR/TE 1st rd. If he's bad then we get a QB in the 1st rd.
We either get lucky and can speed up the rebuild or look like shite and end up with solid draft picks in a better QB draft.
I feel like the worst that could happen is he ends up being a good/ cheap backup QB for 4+ years.
Which is something we really haven't had as depth anyway.
How can you get that upset about picking a backup rd 2 for the most important position when most other players you want are also going to start as "backups" anyway.
Only reason to be mad is if we drafted him in the 1st or took him over Dart/ Ward.

i'm not shitting on shough at all, not mad about the pick. just wish we'd have gone in a different direction. i hope he plays well enough to not need another qb next year, but i'm not sure he even beats out rattler. will be a fun, relaxing rebuild the next couple years that is and has been necessary for while now.
every win will just be lagniappe to me.

as long as it's not Carr I'm good.
the guy has been a super weirdo passive aggressive type this whole offseason. If he was really hurt and wanted to keep playing here, he would have taken care of what he needed to by now.
but what is even more pathetic is that Loomis is standing there smacking gum saying he's the starter. It really stinks of dysfunction.

If they start TS they are ruining him.How often do JBs and JDs happen.Hope I’m wrong but it’s a long shot this guy will be ready that early.

If Carr plays for the Saints ever again it will be the single most damaging decision made by this franchise in its history.

at this point I would throw Shough to the wolves and see what he has, that way if you need to draft another QB in 2026 you will know what you have
Carr is obviously gone
Rattler is a capable backup on his rookie deal
Haener can be cut

I don’t care if Carr is healthy or not. He should never take another snap for the Saints.
"Not one of our opinions in here matters - Did you know that?"
That is straight from God to Derek Carr's mouth.

Dude is chosen. God is just testing him with failure to see how he will respond - that's all.
I'm am all for it - but Abraham didn't demand $150m to be tested.
Any day now JC gonna return and heal Carr's shoulder and he will be blessed with the gift again - praise Him.
