Yeah seems obvious Seth is really injured bc goldberg winning then getting cashed on made the most sense

WWE trying to counter AEW backfired.
AEW wins the day and WWE just got colder.

Goldberg loses and they immediately end the show. No Gunther celebration or Goldberg taking his final bow or anything like that? Lame.

If I was Gunther I might have said no to taking that.

I think Goldberg was supposed to win and Seth cash in. Nothing about the way that finished seemed right.
They also did not roll the credits.

That was a terrible way to close things out

Goodberg son looks like junior from breaking bad

That made it worse.
Yeah they went off script. That was awful.

Somehow even more awkward now

Seems pretty simple they panicked after Seth got hurt and was scrambling

This.is my thinking also.
Seth is legit hurt and HHH had to pivot.

They come back to give him a retirement speech and they still cut him off

Props to Gunther for working this match in a way Goldberg looked strong. And a
to Goldberg for getting out there and making this happen. I was around for the streak and am a self-admitted Goldberg fanboy since 1998. This was the perfect way for him to go out, looked strong, put over a new monster but there was just the right amount of frickery that it didn’t damage his legacy or make Gunther look weak. It was as close to perfect as a match can get.

frick me running I guess have LA Knight and Bron fight over the briefcase?

I'm going to defend them here:
There is no way you can ever plan for an injury, especially to your top-star. This would have been different if it happened on a house show or even RAW but the timing of Seth's injury couldn't have been worse. It left them with no time for a Plan "B"

Give it a fricking break. This thread was 5 pages when SNME started...after a 5+ hour PPV. Meanwhile its at 17 pages after a 2 hour show on NBC.
Nobody gives a shite about the WWE outcasts/indy wrestlers and the stupidity of sticking your main belt in a briefcase for a year if people won't buy it. AEW is there because Shad enjoys watching Tony poses away all of his inheritance. Without that, you'd be seeing most of these guys in Japan. Look no further than paying for Osprey to cross the ocean in 1st class every week. A complete waste of money and displays his level of dedication (or lack thereof) to the business.
