They lost credibility when they started naming winter storms.

Destin is overcast, some breezy and people are ankle deep in the water. Can tell the surf came in a good bit more than it did the night before.

Got continuous rolling white caps but nothing real big at all.

Yeah the media is sensationalizing this storm soooo much.

Headlines: 65 MPH WINDS!

Truth: Current buys are 28mph sustained and 38-44 gusts

Some rain now and we actually see people in and out of the water. Adults with kids -- come on man. Anyway wish I had an anamometer just for fun to see what winds are here.

Every now and then waves really kick up -- seriously just looks like a rough day at the beach as opposed to a tropical storm at least at this point

That’s all this storm was ever going to be. If the impacted areas wouldn’t have already had so much rain, nobody would ever even notice this storm. The only reason it would have been a bother for us is that it was going to be moving so slowly and dump a bunch of rain...and it’s not even doing that...it’s going to be be gone by morning.

Raining pretty good now in rosemary beach but that's about it. Don't see where the 7-8" of rain will come from. I'd bet the area will get 3-4" before it's done later today.

A bit of surge in Apalachicola of about 3 feet so far and it is coming in at high astronomical tide.

We live far west end of PCB about 1/2 as crow flies from the beach. Been pouring here since 11:00. Wind is howling and sideways rain. Landfall predicted about 3:00. Probably time to start drinking.
