Not the same kid then.

ETA: Or maybe it is. Who knows at this point. He would of been 6 in the picture.

Well right off the bat they have a shitty lawyer. One of the first things they should have done was delete shite like this off of public network sites.

I love the multiple down votes on this, even though at the beginning of the first WAFB video before getting tackled him's arms are clearly spread eagle at shoulder length

Nope. There seems to be a lot we don't know. Too much for me to have a clear opinion at this time.

Does it really matter? Dude had already been tazed twice and was still not complying. What's your point with this shite?

Average height is 3.5' so that very well could be him. Kid is right around that height

Please know that I did not "create" or "type" this caption.

It was embedded in the picture.

Why not pull out your gun and then call for backup if you felt that threatened?

Even if 15 cops were there, if the taser didn't work, and he wasn't complying, someone eventually has to put hands on him. Tackling him seems to have an improved chance of detaining him than letting him remain standing so he can throw haymakers.

Considering they were talking about when they were on the ground and the possibility of him being able to reach his gun this adds nothing but confusion.

Screenshot of his arms spread eagle for the naysayers. If his arm was below shoulder length, you would see it against his red shirt. Sorry naysayers.

What you described would have ended up the same results but made the police look even worse. You can argue that if they had pulled the gun from the get go, he might have complied.

This "get-go" you are referring to is unknown to us at this moment. We don't know what the "get-go" was because there is no video, and a very vague report on it. Like I said, I need more to the story.

quote:

In your scenario, we'd see a video of two cops pulling a gun on Alton, him moving or looking like he was potentially going for his gun that they know he has been waving at people, and then everyone would be in an uproar because they killed him without trying to take him down and arrest him.

I don't think they necessarily were in the wrong once they were down on the ground, I just think they could have avoided rolling around on the ground with the guy.

BUT, at the same time, I really can't come to a conclusion without all the facts.

This would have been a better situation in my opinion.

You are putting words in my mouth buddy. You came in here saying people were wrong, when in fact you were wrong about the circumstances. That's all I have pointed out. The fact that you think at any point in time I've said
quote:

he is in no doubt guilty like youre the judge and jury
is ridiculous.

I wouldn't say "hands up". Id call that more of a " that all you got" or " come at me bro" posture

I and others have already said. Some say that is when guns could have been drawn and pointed instead of tacking a presumably armed man. And to prove people wrong.

Agreed. It is completely irrelevant in the case. He was told to get on the ground, he did not.

Regardless, he looks more like he is in a "come at me, bro" stance than hands up if we're being honest. The part that is circled definitely looks to be his arms coming out perpendicular to his body.

for reference:

It's really hard to tell.
