For me, what I get is the delivery thing, and it's big.

To get to the edge of Knoxville, it's a gallon of gas and with Knoxville traffic it's at least a gallon going around town running errands, and then another gallon back.

At yesterday's prices that's $9, with no guarantee that I'll find what I'm looking for. Or if a store says they have it, we get there and they don't and the person on the phone was too lazy to check that the parts were what we asked for, but they don't fit our models. Etc.

We don't go to town more than twice a week because Amazon can deliver to us.

The once or twice the orders were wrong, they are made good with no fuss.

As much as we dislike certain politics, that corporate entity "Been berry berry guud to me"

Careful, Amazon, you're starting to look alot like Sears these days.

Yep, when Amazon Prime packages take a week or more because they don’t self deliver to your neighborhood, then they start losing their luster.

Why do people expect prices of consumer goods to stay the same year over year?

The level of stupidity is reaching alarming rates.

Walmart+ is better/cheaper now

Your experience may vary but I can not stand Walmart new app and online experience since the "merge" of the Walmart.com and. The grocery.walmart.com platforms.

Twice in the last five weeks my selected store got automatically changed during checkout. Did not realize it until I got to the store to pickup.

Twice I order several items to be shipped to my house. 8:45 a strange car shows up with a few of my items. Tonight I just messed up because it is a pain now to figure out what will ship and what I will pick up.

Crap happened again this week. This time I caught what happened. I get a email saying great news, some of you items we found at local stores and will be delivered to your house. We'll I am not home when they deliver and the dog ate half the crap they left by my door.

I did not request to have strange people dropping stuff off at my house. First time the guy was shady as shite and had his wife and kid in the car.

Walmart was close to beating Amazon but they blew it in my opinion.

What do we get for Prime these days? 2 day shipping is not happening around me anymore.

It’s insane. I have to mail my packages to a friend 30 miles down the road or my mom in rural north Louisiana to get it in two days. It takes 9 days or more in our zip. I’m essentially paying for an overpriced digital streaming service. I’ve called Several times and they don’t seem too concerned. I bet if it was a zip in a big city they would get off their arse and fix it.

Prime is one of the best online deals around. For $11.60/month you get:

2 day shipping
Access to Prime Video (with possibly the largest video content online)
Prime Music, which has a large/respectable streaming music collection
Prime Reading, which has an OK streaming book collection

I think they still offer photo hosting, too

We're still getting the 2-day but we're right near a distribution center and in a major city.

I also use the shite out of the PBS Masterpiece channel through Prime Video.

Cancelled that shite a while back, the only advantage was 2 day shipping which doesn’t happen often anymore

But the price has steadily gone up the past few years significantly compared to inflation. And the service at least where I live isn't as good as it was a few years back

I have started getting annoyed with prime because the free 2 day shipping most likely will not occur and the package show up in like a week

I have been a prime member since day 1. There was no streaming shite so it was just for the 2 day shipping. And it was great. I don’t need the streaming and music. I have pandora and pay for Apple Music. So I’ll probably cancel and see how it goes for a year. Anything over $25 looks like free shipping anyway.

Well no shite. That was my point. However, it leads to larger issues with everything being packaged together. These companies already have the market stifled.

We cancelled over a year ago and wondered how we would survive... Well we did. For the price, I could not justify the 4-5 days to get stuff when it started out 2 day. Now we just wait until we have 25 bucks worth or get it from Walmart.com.
