In 1934, the Mauretania apartment building was designed for actor Jack (Tin Man) Haley, who lived in the penthouse apt. with his wife for 20 years.
For whatever reason, this post spurred my interest and I decided to look up the house to see what it looks like today. It seems to be on a modern residential street, a little out of place.
However, what was more interesting was that the penthouse had been listed for rent around 2020 and the Zillow listing contained a number of pictures. It seems they’ve really maintained the classic charm of the penthouse apartment. Also, it appears as though JFK might’ve used this penthouse as some sort of campaign office or Western White House.

The fairly new Higgins Hotel at the WWII museum in New Orleans is a very nice art deco hotel.

The Art Deco-style campus at 7813 S. Vermont Avenue was the original campus for Pepperdine University, but is now an independent entity known as the Crenshaw Christian Center's "Miracle of Faith" complex.

Don't forget the 1937 Cord. A design that was way ahead of the time. Pop-up headlights and front wheel drive.
