There is an unbroken line of 18 wheelers from the 10/12 split all the way to slidell all day . East and West. They take up the right lane and there is no way to drive safely. Some of those on ramp merge lanes have no space between the big rigs to merge. There is not enough room It's been that way for years , It's a deadly situation.
Mississippi has three lanes from just past Pascagoula to Bay St . Louis and are clearing right of ways to put it all the way to the LA line. All that in less than ten years.
Louisiana government simply doesn't give a shite how dangerous or how mush discomfort it causes people. They could do it they just choose not to.

Traffic enforcement would be a nice start. Where are the State Police?
Other states have much more enforcement and use of their law enforcement.

I do not understand why traffic enforcement would not be a benefit. It would make the roads safer.

I have an even better question.

Why the hell do drivers in Louisiana freak the hell out when only a few drops fall?

Fully autonomous self driving will solve so many problems.

Idiot LA drivers

Per capita, we absolutely have the worst drivers I have ever seen, and that includes LEOs.

Aggressive, poor car control, lack of common courtesy; it is a epidemic of stupidity.

In the car threads I always recommend the safest vehicle you can afford.

Your life depends on it.

You think lack of enforcement of left lane laws is causing the accidents?

I12 needs to be 3 lanes from Slidell to BR

I agree. A good start would be adding 3 lanes from Airport Road to I-55 in both directions and then again at Holden. Maybe extend the 3 lanes from Slidell to Lacombe heading west and definitely extend the 3 lanes heading east past Satsuma, but before all of that fix the interchange at I-12 and I-55.

Yea, it's the people. They are a bad mix of crazy, dumb, and angry. And it's usually the same type of people on the side of the road that caused these accidents. Low income, pajama wearing, unemployed, over weight, looking at their cell phone while trying to swerve and pass people.

12/55 interchange was outdated in 80s.
