Christ dude. Seriously?

Working for CNN must really suck

Do you think I need therapy too?

Has PJ written a poem for AB yet?

You know how TD works bro. He'll say this in one thread and then months for now. Make a thread begging for prayers for his sick dog or family member. Rinse and repeat.

That's the only episode I have seen. I was looking forward to seeing his popeyes episode unless that was just a personal guilty pleasure.
Supposedly it was to air June 17th. Hopefully it still does.

Anthony Bourdain killing himself is the least surprising thing I've ever read here

Your life must really suck when 10 to 20 years of suckin ducks is an upgrade.

I would encourage him all the time to get out and do things he enjoys. His reply many times would be "but you have to feel like doing it in the first place".
Makes sense honestly when you’re dealing with something like that. Sorry that’s happening for him, Nurse. I hope he can get help and find some peace.
Bourdain bothers me though. Maybe because you see a guy living a genuinely good life, doing something awesome, and his inner demons still won. He helped Louisville (Seviche) chef, Anthony Lamas get sober too. This just sucks.

In 33 years I’ll still be working, probably still in sales, with some blood sucking kids just getting off the dole.
While bourdain has seen every corner of the earth, eat/drank everything and made millions.

Just goes to show how deep the lack of understanding goes with mental health.
Agreed. It's pretty natural to say "I don't understand. How could he?" when you've never experienced the depths of depression for yourself. Logic and reason can go right out the window when waves of depression come on.

"Rope A Dope"
Anthony Bourdain
Went fricking insane
He looked
And saw his goose was cooked
He never rose above it
But finally got the hang of it

Stick to Saltgrass Steakhouse. Just know a year - no, a month - in his life was more interesting than the totality of your mundane existence.

I'm sure that money comforted him and brought him peace.......
What was this thread about again?

You can't buy love or happiness. See millionaire pseudochef with a 9mm hole in his head for reference.

Look what happened with Kate Spade. Those who closely knew her said she didn't want to seek help for her depression because it would make her look bad to the public.
Maybe it was the same for Anthony. Or maybe he felt that he didn't have the time to deal with it. Or that he would seek help later when things slowed down enough for him to.
We will never know for sure.
