Yes. Referring to one as a "pp."

You sure talk about ED a lot. I don't notice much on here so if I noticed.....you must talk about it a lot.

The most recent episode of The Pitt on HBOMax (which is about an emergency room in a hospital in Pittsburg) depicted a man who went to the emergency room with severe priapism.

They took him immediately to a cubicle and started draining the blood from his schlong using a hypodermic needle. And they showed it being done.

It took the removal of 3 syringes full of blood to get the job done.

I had to look away...

More testing is needed.

I’ve never heard of anyone actually gettting one even though you hear about it as a warning for some ED meds.

It sounds like it would be unbelievably painful. I can’t image going through that.
It's not typically painful if addressed in a timely fashion. Also, the chances of permanent damage decrease with earlier intervention. I've seen it happen less with medications like Viagra than I have other reasons like cocaine (most common during training) and a certain sleep medication.

I've treated some 48+ hour erections in the past. Those guys will never have normal erections again...

Had it personally, no.

I do see it fairly regularly with spinal cord injuries, couple a year.

I had a guy years ago with unfortunate combination of sickle cell and too much Viagra. He had to have it manually drained…gnarly to say the least.

At least the spinal cord injury priapisms are high flow and don't require drainage.

Yep, drain and discharge in most cases.

However, SCI priapism is an ominous sign.
