Was actually pretty uneventful. He was on the younger sports academy team at the time, think he was on 15+ and I was on 17+. It was mostly McKinley guys, few others and me.

He did introduce me to some Turkey Leg place by where we practiced some downtown (an actual funeral home) though...good food.

I took $350 from Ben Sheets at the pool table in TJs back in the day. I played with some of his St. Amant teammates at Delgado and he came in from ULM over the Christmas break in '97.

Ha. Good ole TJs. I used to shoot pool there with former saint CB Fred Weary back in 99 or 2000.

I played against/with Stewart Cink at the Future Masters in Dothan. I wore a pink shirt and almost holed out from 150+ in front of a crowd. I was 14.

Got dunked on by Mike Smith (Washing Wizards now plays in Argentina) when we were on the same team. Turns out the 2 on 1 break I thought we were on was actually a 3 on 1 break and the alley oop was to him not me.

There was something about that free popcorn back there.

Side note to my story. After he paid up I went and put $20 in the video poker machine and won another $200. What did 19yr old Tigerdew do you ask? Yeah, I blew it all bouncing back and forth from TJs and Brunos the rest of the night. I didn't meet a person I didn't buy a drink for that night.

Baseball practice was rained out one day so we went in the gun and when practice was done we started to play basketball. Caught an elbow below the eye from Will Clark, still have the scar

I used to play pick up with Brandon Bass after practice back in high school. His little brother was my age and he would come play at our school and Brandon would come play. Stole the ball from him a couple times.

Struck out Pedro Alvarez twice in college in 2006 and made him look silly in the process.

He went on to hit an absolute bomb off of me in 2007 to make up for it.

Also had moderate success pitching against David Freese in college but no good stories about it.

Played against Taylor Tankersley in HS. He is a relief pitcher for the Mets I believe right now or something.

Dmitri Young came to our HS (hometown) and practiced with us a few times.
