Original Doe’s eat place and Harolw’s casino are about the only 2 things that stand out in Greenville these days.

There used to be a car and truck show there the 3rd weekend of May back in the late 90’s and early 2099’s. It was real popular and drew lots of crowds.
Show is no longer there because of crime and area

Just read about it in Leslie Jordan’s book, “How Y’all Doing?”. Many Southern writers were born and bred there.

There is Does Steakhouse, right now that’s about it. Good hunting up that way but not in summer

Well, if it’s going to be 3-4 hours, maybe drive up north to Clarksdale to the US-61/US-49 intersection where Robert Johnson sold his soul to the Devil. There’s (at least there was) a pretty good bbq place there. Also, I think you’ll cross the Emmitt Till Bridge on the way. Just something to say you’ve been to and seen.

Looking at taking a few days and traveling up to meet a friend (no pics), will still be able to work remotely. There will be times when she’s working and I’m not. What are some things to do to pass the time? Know nothing about the place.
Doe's Eat Place. Drive across the prettiest bridge over the entire Mississippi River. Drive 30 mins east to Indianola and go to the BB King museum.

My family lives on the river in Gunnison/Rosedale. Maybe get her to hook you up with someone to take you fishing?
