In the Middle Ages, people had phenomenal memories because there were no books.
They degraded as books and libraries made it unnecessary to memorize everything.
Then came the internet, and now no one feels the need to memorize anything they can just google.

I have issues remembering inconsequential events which my entire family thinks is crazy.

I'm just under the cut and yes. My mom had dementia before she passed and her 4 kids all agree I'm the lucky one to carry it on.
It's a race to see if I can kill it before it kills me. Hopefully somebody is working on that.
