Yeah I went there and it wasn't that bad when I was there but you could definitely see it was on the verge of getting worse in that aspect. Ive heard over the last few years it has gotten really bad. I feel as if I kept to my fraternity and team, though, which didn't bring me around the SJW crowd.

It is a very small campus making it pretty much impossible to completely avoid but still you were able to get away from it.

Knowing a great deal of people who went there over the last decade, you won't find much worse of an ROI. Discipline doesn't matter.

Homogeneous SJW culture, Jackson is a legit horrible place to live both in terms of crime and interesting things to do, and a waste of money. That's hell on earth.

The campus guide that showed my son around campus on his visit told us it’s considered the Harvard of the south. It’s liberal, but not as liberal as Springhill.

was your visit on April 1 by any chance?

It’s a good school but it’s not on the level of Vandy let alone an Ivy League school

Their (and most every other Southern liberal arts college) entire model is to find that sweet spot of parents with the wealth to afford their near $40k annual tuition, but without the sense to question how insane that declaration is.

My brother went there.

Ya they say that and "Southern Ivy" but don't believe that.

I went there in the 80's back when Jackson was fun and there were plenty of hot girls. Took my son for a visit last year, and the place was seriously run down. Down to 800 students and Jackson is a dumpster fire.

Only thing I know about that school is it is the place kids go to play sports when they aren't good enough to earn a scholarship at other places.

I’m class of 2004. Wasn’t like that when I was there. I have heard that It had started to lean that way over the last five years or so when new president came in.

Those methodist schools have moved to the left like no other group. I know a family that sent a kid there--lots of dope, crazy out and out leftist views and faculty is not so hot (in their opinion of course).

They used to have a decent academic reputation but no more.

I wish Hillsdale had a southern campus.

That is a very good academic school and is a great place. They will not even accept any federal money.
