Don't get me wrong, there are women who love super tall dudes but the vast majority of the women who say "I only date guys over 6'0" are just saying that because, typically, guys that are that height are confident.

5’8 and never had a problem in that department. It’s all about confidence. I had like 2 girls in college (out of dozens) that had an issue with my height and that’s because they were really short and just projecting their insecurities of being small onto the guy (me).
Even had this one chick who made it a point to point out my height at a football party as I was on our college team. She was like 5’1 (maybe) and Italian. Ended up spending the night in her dorm. Again, all about confidence. You could probably stand to lose some weight. 5’6 and 175 looks a lot taller than 5’6 and 200+
