Many places in the US and around the world very much shut down. It didn't work. Remember when Fauci and others pointed to the European countries as the model? How did that work out?
It is a virus with a 99.8% survival rate. The shutdown "cure" attempt is worse than the disease.

Stop it. You can only make the Progressives so hard before they lose control and spew everywhere. But you know they want it.

Luckily for those in Ohio, the mask mandate from 4 months ago has been an unmitigated success.

Did we though? Because I could do pretty much anything I wanted outside of a 2-3 week span this year.
A China level shutdown will not happen in the country. The closest thing we have seen to a shutdown is what already happened, but another shutdown will be even less well received.

Not true in Mississippi....in fact there are no ICU beds left in central MS. Not one.
Is this where we act like the entire country needs to shut down because one region is seeing a surge? How about a more cost effective solution of moving some of those patients to nearby hospitals that aren't at capacity?
Also has any evidence ever been shown that restaurants are in fact a hot spot for covid transmission? Crowded bars I can see. But to me restaurants at 50% or 100% capacity makes no damn difference. No different than people shopping at a grocery store.
