just be transparent. If it’s going to take two plus more days then just say so. I know they’re busting their arse but they’re not communicating properly.
Yeah I’d rather have some kind of estimate even if it’s not remotely accurate

I completely understand that but how does bocage gas station get power today and not bocage (which is one of the if not richest neighborhoods in BR)? How does bawell and fairway view apts get power but not the rest of corporate and college (and the light at entergy and corporate got restored today)? How does the apts behind hobby lobby on Siegen get restored and not Jefferson terrace, which it backs up to?
Look, I understand that there are different grids and one block from the next can be on a different grid. But it just seems that for me personally (considering all the locations that I would like to have power) have gotten power restored directly next to them. It’s possible that it’s just a crazy coincidence. I’m not trying to be looney conspiracy about this.
I just wish that if there are certain grids/areas that entergy has assessed as being severe and will take multiple days to fix, then just communicate. Bc the overall area I’m talking about consists of multiple thousands of residential homes. Just be up front and let us know that way we can make our own decisions from there.
I don’t mean to come off as a ken/Karen bc I’m the opposite. All I ask for is proper communication so that I can make an informed decision. shite, the damn entergy outage map doesn’t even work anymore.

Could they forget? There is no visible damage in here

Was just contemplating with the girlfriend about just heading out in any direction but didn’t want to leave only to have power restored within 24 hours.
Say you left and power came back on immediately after, you still made a good move. There are so many more problems here besides just power at this point. Gas/food availability, traffic, etc. So it's not a waste. I've played the "well I shouldn't do X because Y can happen" game with hurricanes before and ended up getting burned big time.

91,324 EBR Entergy customers currently without power. That’s down from 103,350 at about noon today.

I wouldn’t be a least bit surprised if they did forget… unless you go behind the bank you can’t even tell there is a neighborhood behind here… but I drove ( and I’m sure you did also) around every street even the one that backs up to I-12 and couldn’t find any damage expect that 2nd house when you go through the S curve with that tree down, but it didn’t hit anything at all besides the ground… and to top it off, I lost ATT broadband this morning and it hasn’t come back on so I just unplugged the modem from the generator
And I saw the Asian family next door to them with a hand saw chopping it to get it out there driveway

CCL has buried lines. That helps.
We do too. No power. They come above ground at some point

I live by 12 and we usually get power back quick. I think something to do with Ollie Steele burden…but to turn on the bank and other side and leave is a cluster frick. Yeh idk about this crap but I know some linemen and upper mgt and I will ask wtf
Posted on 8/31/21 at 10:13 pm to Topwater Trout
I don’t know anyone from Entergy anymore but yeah I’m not sure it’s a mind frick is what it is

As I sit here sweating my arse off and worrying about my old dog, I am laughing. Thanks guys for being funny in our time of misery.
And I will continue my 3 times a day visits to check my status in the Jefferson/bluebonnet area because at least I have gas now
The map was a lie but it at least gave me something to look at. Now I just get a blank page.

And the map no longer has an icon to view customers out…just shows one across Essen

No power. I had to help carry water buckets from the road tonight because the well needs electricity.
I did ride my horse but cooling him off after was trouble.
Hi turducken.

I don’t even get a map anymore
Posted on 8/31/21 at 10:19 pm to Topwater Trout
Yeah another reason why I think we were forgotten is because the icon is gone now before it was like 832 affected… then the bank and United and the red light came back on and suddenly icon is gone
