This is probably true. I don’t think I know a single person who is actually “from” Prairieville, and I’ve lived here for nearly 15 years.

Right? The bus picks up for us at something like 6:03a, and school starts at 7:35. I felt guilty making her ride for over an hour. Instead, we sit in traffic for a similar amount of time I keep telling myself it’s just for 2 years, til she’s old enough to drive herself.

In all reality if you are a single fella it will suck. If you are a family man then it’s ok. School system is great, traffic sucks, housing crazy high.

He was there the first week. Last week, it was a black woman. Keeping it interesting for us, at least.

Great school system. Harvest grocery, several restaurants, urgent care, dentist office. There really is a lot in Dutchtown. I don’t need to leave often to get what I need. Oh and Candy Lane (IFYKYK).

I've been taking mine to school for 11 years now. I'm pretty pumped that she can drive in November

I know a house that has an amazing pergola right in the heart of Dutchtown.

And plus you can be my neighbor. Late night pickle tickles.

Nice place. Good place to raise a family.

The good:
Schools
Good people vibe
Food
Some exposure to world outside LA with plants (expats/relo folks)
HS football
Access to LSU/sporting events
Easy ride to Nola

The bad:
Zoning
Watching dogs rot who are allowed to be tied up in hot or cold
Plant Beauty near river

Probably trying to keep the line moving. All that wet legging causing delays for plant traffic.

They rotate a few deputies in that slot.
My favorite one is the short dude with a beard and tats. You can tell he's just waiting for a carpool mom to step outta line so he can tase her arse.

We moved out here to Dutchtown from the Southdowns area 3 years ago.
I commute to Metry 3 days a week and we're diehard LSU Baseball and Football season ticket holders.

It's a nice balance being 45 minutes from MSY and 20 minutes from Alex Box.

Can we talk about the skinny methhead (probably) prostitute that looks like a malnourished teenager that is always at Harvest and Walgreens with her kids.

They seem to walk to and fro twin lakes. I get crippling depression whenever I see them.

Also, the Pizza Hut, Sonic, and Subway on 73 appear to close at like 7p any random day of the week for no reason.
