You were just bragging about how rich you are. Surely you make more than $125 K a year? It’s not surprising that you would take a government aid though. You seem the type.

If they're smart, which they are when it comes to political warfare, they will forgive 100% of student loan debts for anyone that got defrauded by Trump U.

The narrative would be Dems saving victims from mean evil Trump. Maybe they save that one until the 2024 election.

A person typically has to add the remainder of a forgiven loan to his income on tax returns. I wonder if $10k would have to be added to income or if the student loan cancellation will also eliminate this requirement.

Why not give every taxpayer 10k? Why was the debt people took out for college more worthy of forgiveness than the debt a landscaper went into for equipment? Or the car someone bought to commute to their job? This is such bullshite.

People on the left are going to bitch so hard if he only does 10k. 10k is nothing when you have 80k for some useless degree

If it happens, which it probably won't, it will almost certainly be a phase out.

MFJ of 250 and below get the 10k and it drops off from there as the income goes up. Which is why I would probably only get a few k if it happens, which it probably won't.

You honestly think it's gonna be 125k you get 10k off and 125,001 tough luck?

The Boomers paid for their own education.

They weren’t entitled children like the latest generations.

Apparently they had it figured out.

They also paid 100 bucks for a semester.

I think student loan forgiveness is a terrible idea even though I have 17k left to pay off. But using the old tired well the old generations figured it out so you should stop complaining is a pretty terrible argument

Hmmmm….. I wonder who? At least we know anyone with a useful degree and a legitimate job won’t qualify.

My MFJ is around $450 this year. So basically my family brings in almost twice as much as yours.

Shame.

Be an adult and pay back what you agreed to. It’s called character.

Now do how much income was brought in to pay that $100 a semester? And I think they were on quarters.

That would not move the needle for midterms.
