Or maybe they can enforce the new law making it illegal to drive in the left lane when not passing

New law???? It aint new, thry just upped the fine amount.

Watched a Trooper follow a squatted F150 pulling some atv's for miles holding up traffic in the left lane. Did he flash his lights? Pull the slow driver over perhaps? Oo no, he just squeezed over to the right lane, cutting off a big truck who had to swerve onto the shoulder, and continued on his way.

What good are laws if they arent enforced??

It has nothing to do with DOTD and everything to do with governed trucks trying to pass other governed trucks, vehicles towing multiple vehicles, going speed limit or under in left lane, and people going entirely too slow on the interstate in general. It’s a people problem.

The widened I-12 interstate to 3 lanes through West St Tammany has all but eliminated traffic and instances of accidents.

The so called 'people problem' is addressed by allowing more capacity before congestion sets in, reduced-lane chasing pressure and a better accommodation of slower vehicles.

So, I go back to my original statement, this is an LADOTD issue.

it needs to be more clearly marked when it goes from 3 lanes back to 2 in between livingston frost and satsuma!

Why not encourage companies to ship more by rail to reduce truck traffic?

I didn’t realize it was that hard to drive on a straight road.

Being the cause of a wreck on an interstate should result in prison time

What good is having Congressional leadership through your state....and Scalise's district if we can't get funding for widening and modernizing I-12?

I remember when JBE was farting around with widening, then there was a fiery crash at 12 right at Hwy 21.....Pat Brister got on the phone and basically told JBE that he was going to find the funds with no excuses. It got done.....it's still being done all the way to beyond 1085/1077.

Ought to go all the way to Hammond at least and to Northshore Blvd in Slidell at a bare minimum

They ought to open up those shoulders off the left lanes and make them functional lanes

I really don’t know what it is about I-12 but it’s the absolute worst stretch of interstate I’ve driven on in the country

I've said for years that I believe it was built across multiple Indian burial mounds, so it's cursed.
