Not the biggest, but probably one of the funniest was that Indian kid winning the US spelling bee. The host was cheering, crowd clapping, confetti falling....and he DGAF.

In retrospect I'm going to go with active serial killer Rodney Alcala being on the Dating Game. He was chosen by the chick but after the show creeped her out so she told the show she wouldn't go out with him. She was crazy close to being a victim.

I just went back and watched the first season. The bitch went in dry on the young woman that ended up in second place, not on the gay guy that ended up winning. And the million dollars came down to which contestant guessed a number 1-10 closest because one dude didn't know who to vote for.
I wouldn't consider something like Survivor or Amazing Race or Big Brother or another season-long competition to be a game show though.

i was going to post the same thing. Norm smoked the game and beat ivy leaguer David Duchovny's best, who lost on the $500k question. Norm had to be pissed.
