I did and I believe that's the same politician that recently accused Paul of covering up the number of total shootings in BR

That is correct. Paul acted like a child/bully bc he got caught in a lie and he got called out on it.

None of this happened....
Every local TV station had someone there along with the Advocate. It shouldn't be difficult to get corroborating information that it happened or no one saw it happen.

I don't know what's the bigger story. If it's this telling of events or if it's that this letter magically ended up printed out and now on the internet.

Either way, it seems like some kind or orchestrated smokescreen and I'm disappointed in myself for not knowing who is pulling the strings.

This is all settling the stage for Watson to announce he is running for mayor/president next year.

That was kind of my take on it but I wanted to see how the OT felt. Seriously, if your Chief can't keep his cool then that is quite the problem. Let us keep in mind that the last couple of guys he fired, he fired them for "Command of Temper" which is losing your cool. And that was with violent felons, not a city council member. Not sure how the Mayor can let this slide if there is even an ounce of truth to this.

You know Matt Watson is the metro councilman who requested the statistics that Paul said didn’t exist, right?

Hence it is logical to assume Paul’s shitty behavior was because he got called on the carpet over it.

Open Data BR has some stuff we can dig into but not sure it is easy to see where "someone was shot".

But Firearm incidents are very easy to retrieve.

BRPD Logged 1105 Firearm crimes in 2019 so far.

Just throw a filter on this site for date> 12/31/18 and crime = "FIREARM" to get what I found.

1) If the Chief did what the letter states, the chief should be disciplined similar to discipline given to other officers.

2) Mr Watson, is apart of the legislative body of this parish. The chief should respect that along with any requests for information from his dept.

3) Then doing this at a memorial for a lady who wanted a better community for her area is a true sign of disrespect.

this part shouldn't matter at all. If the police chief is actually going after people as the letter states, there should be consequences.

I’ve heard there’s a separate video out there that shows BRPD Chief Murphy Paul losing his temper, dare you say, command of temper, at a scene up north.
