I always get females. Don’t feel as bad about getting them fixed.

Male dogs act weird around female women you will hopefully bring around. They can get kind of aggressive/protective.
I have 2 females and they're great. Protective enough of me but mainly just want all the attention for any newcomers and are GREAT with small children ( I think females are a bit better with their kid instincts)
as others have said, holy shite they do get moody. they even LOOK at me sad when I get onto one of them, then pout for several hours but I love it

Female. Can get a good tummy scratch that way. Boy dogs pee on EVERYTHING.

Off topic but I used to work with an old man that used the term “they ate my arse out” instead of “they chewed me out”.
