ut Dodge always has the best styling. If you could marry their styling with Toyota's reliability, you would have an amazing truck.
What about ride quality? because that's a pretty important feature to me.

Slow down.
BTW: I will never buy another ford after I get rid of this one.

3 years old with roughly 38k miles. Had the sunroof replaced twice, the sync system went out in February and it is going out again. There is some kind of whistling noise in the cab when I go 35-40ish mph. The clowns at hub city service are terrible. The service dept at courtesy is decent but frick their sales guys. I have the 5.0 V-8.
I hope Toyota figures out a way to make a more efficient engine.

I've had zero problems with my F150. Granted it's only a little over 2 years old. I have the ecoboost with the 6 speed transmission though.

Ram has a coil sprung rear axle. Best ride quality in the half ton market.

I have owned Fords and Toyotas. Toyota has a Prerunner that has the lift of a 4 wheel drive, without the 4 wheel drive. I'm not a GM fan. Dodge reliability historically has been all over the place.
That being said, look on the internet and find a 2-3 year old truck that is "loaded" and you won't pay an obscene amount for it. Let someone else take the front end financial hit.

I am mostly leaning toward the Ram. My main battle is the wife who wants a Lexus or Infiniti SUV but I have price on my side there as a full size suv of that type will run me out the house.

I haven’t actually sat on one but have read enough reviews and heard from happy owners - you’d be surprised just how luxurious the new Ram interiors are. Bring her with you to shop and have her sit in a well equipped Laramie, think you’d get a green light.

I have a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500. Bought new for about 35k. I like it, but if I was buying again soon I would get a new Tundra when they remodel soon. Should be lighter and better gas milage for 2020

I was looking at truck prices the other day just out of curiosity. Seems like I can get a used 2500 or 250 for a similar price to the 1500 or 150. I was really surprised by that. Always assumed the F-250’s and 2500’s were much more expensive.

I think it would be a 2021 model, aluminum, twin turbo option. Would assume they would keep the V8 as well.

Doggett Ford in Houston
Call and ask for Jack
She will customize it for you - lift, tires, lights, whatever you want
They do a great job of customizing and sell them right

Had diesel and gas. If I was getting a 250 or 2500 I’d def go diesel. More durable and more power IMO.

Now on my second Dodge Ram. First one died at 197K. Was a manual transmission, had to change the clutch at 150K.
My "new" Ram is a 2011, and its now at 115K. As long as you keep up with routine maintenance, its ultra reliable. Would definitely buy another.
As for flooding, trucks only give you a few more inches of clearance. Don't expect miracles. If you can't see the center line of the roadway through the water, you shouldn't be there.
