i dont understand how dresing up like another race is racist. We dress kids up like indians and Pilgrams every year all over the US for Thanksgiving.

A) We don't paint our faces to do so

B) There isn't a racist origin of white/tan? face

You don't think drawing a lynched black dude from a tree and asking someone if they want to hang is racist?

That was a separate incident from the original one in the OP.

Wearing chains to Halloween one year while in blackface was racist.

But you know what, every black person at the gas station came up to tell me it was funny as shite

I don't believe that. Unless the one black guy at the gas station was that one black guy who always hung out with white people.

The fact that they can't understand the difference between those two incidents and treat them both the same is one of the major problems with this county.

When you blow every single event out of proportion with the same veracity, it marginalizes all of your causes. Worthy or otherwise

Exactly. In the article it says it's his bitmoji. Meaning he created it. I think that's the overlooked part of all this

I have never understood the black face outrage. I never will because its stupid. It doesn't do anything negative to black Americans and it never will. Its paint, cry me a river.

Expect more of this from Gen Z. Although I would not agree with this (I am a different generation), they are more than likely not doing this in a racist way.

They are the counter-culture to the hyper-sensitive Gen Y. It will be across all races and cultures as well. Each generation is a reaction to the previous.

Am I crazy for thinking that the biggest issue in this whole ordeal is that this kid is jumping through all these hoops to ask some girl to prom?

Perhaps you should read up on why it is considered offensive.

If you understand why it is offensive, but still think it's stupid, is it really something worth challenging?

The kid in the OP probably didn't know one way or the other, so no fault there. However, knowing it is widely panned as offensive and doing it anyway means you're okay with the criticism you'll face.

These kinds of people piss me off to no end. You don't get to arbitrarily decide what's truly offensive on account that it reminds you of blackface from fricking forever ago. That kid wasn't doing blackface. At all. He was imitating the bitemoji he sent to the girl. Any moron who can't draw the distinction and thinks their psychological weaknesses should convey limitations or moral judgments upon others should be completely ignored and dismissed.

I wouldn't apologize for shite, that just eggs these retards on when instead they should be called out for being so psychologically fricked up that they seek victimhood and offense where it clearly doesn't exist.

Now that picture about hanging at prom is just flat out fricked up.
