Two governments, two permitting agencies, double the local government, more taxes, less cooperation between areas....nah, what could possibly be a problem with that?

ok so back to the real issue at hand that has caused all of this...Why are LP and AP schools some of the best in the state and residents living a few miles away in EBRP have some of the worst public schools in the state?

demographics.

Why is Dutchtown a higher performing school than EA? Why is EA a better performing school than Donaldsonville?

No, it won't. As another poster already pointed out in this thread, the entire parish would vote on establishing a new SG school district.

Do you honestly think that would pass?

I sure don't.

I see you're still stalking me and, as usual, you've added nothing of substance to the thread.

Primarily demographics.

There is otherwise nothing special about those schools, and there is nothing that they offer in terms of programs that EBR doesn't already offer to my knowledge.

Zachary and Central would support and all of St.George, so I think it would have a pretty good chance.

I think they are drawing better teachers also...I have heard AP has some of the best salries in the state. Maybe some teachers can chime in

The good schools have a community that cares and parents who care, which is the main reason N.EBR suffers.

It seems that white parents don't want their kids immersed in black culture that is taking over the public schools. Lower grades, more fights, ect. Basically they want their white kids in mainly white middle class schools with only uncle tom blacks.

Not saying it's a bad thing. If I had a child I wouldn't put him in public school.

not all people in st george support the city (myself included). But if the city has already been passed, you know that an overwhelming majority would go ahead and vote to pull the district into the city.
