In Last weekend was my first weekend off since March, and that's only because someone wanted to switch and not burn his vacation days.

I would much rather work a night or weekend than a day. No engineers, no production leader, no contractors or permits. Pull out the bbq pit and do your job (all 3 hours of it) - and train so you can hurry up and get a raise.

Most of the engineers are here and I am one of the contractors. There's a lot fewer people and it's a lot quieter than usual, but it's still no picnic.

I'm getting paid well to be here, but it still sucks. A couple weeks ago, I was only working 4 10s, now I'm up to 6 10s.

It's just a chemical engineering degree. Kind of like construction management, except with chemistry.
