Yes sir. I made sure to order them in good condition too. Some of the pages were still uncut. A little age on them but they’re in great shape.

No. The teacher is inadvertently providing current examples of how students do not connect with course objectives for a history curriculum. Much of it is based on rote memorization with minimal interaction with primary sources or contextualization. I was one of the few who liked history and geography growing up, read voraciously, and spent my time in museums actually looking at things. I also realized the vast majority of my classmates didn't care about the same stuff because they didn't see financial or cultural value in it. Their parents and relatives livelihoods didn't depend on learning history. Influencers (traditional media personalities like actors, professional athletes, musicians, and the like) didn't promote discovery and understanding of historical subjects.

Kids knowledge of history hasn't spontaneously become worse. It's been this way from the 1800s to today. We just now have more efficient means to capture instances like this on a more durable platform and share with a much wider audience.
