Nah, I manage the people that sell the chlorine. Buy, don’t buy, I still get paid

Was on a two hour conference call about national shortages of various building supplies, appliances, pool chemicals, etc. Bunch of pissed of folks. Guys were fielding questions left and right. As we were ending the call the organizer says under his breath, we don’t even have the pails to put the chlorine in. Emails started flying

But Orange Man said we’re supposed to drink chlorine to kill the Chyna virus. Now what do we do?

Thanks Trump.

Chlorine pools are so 1980s and trashy. Its made for those homeowners who like to piss in their pool.

Saltwater pools owners don't piss in their pools so no need to buy Chlorine.

Saltwater causes pitting in coping/decking, especially high-end stone.

Nah we have a copper ion system. Husband uses bleach and acid when needed and that's about it.

I know a lot of pools going back to chlorine. We had salt at our last house. I got tired of the cells going out, had to replace the board in the chlorinator etc. Our kids are pretty much gone and my wife and I built a courtyard "cocktail" pool at our new house that won't get used very much so we went with a tablet chlorinator. Seems like its much more stable now.

I use an @Ease floating chlorine dispenser in my hot tub. It uses one cartridge every 4-6 weeks. I've got a stash of them, we'll be alright.

I’ve been out of the chemical business for a while, but back in the day with Olin and PPG, it was certainly a player.

only 2 companies in the US produce chlorine tablets. The one in LC caught fire during Hurricane Laura. So now there's only one company producing and trying to keep up with the demand.

Louisiana is a major international player in that market due to the resources for it... Salt

I work in the industry and demand is high right now. It will probably get better by summer though.

The OT only has saltwater pools.

Lol, which is still chlorine. NaCl and all. Although, it might be much easier to get that standard chlorine now.
