Wrong, Denham Springs is now the largest high school in the state now that they combined the Freshman High.

I don't think people really care where you went to high school for the most part. I don't even think people care where you went to college unless it was like MIT or Harvard.

If they went to Jesuit they’ll let you know

I think that's very much a Nola thing. I only care about it in the context that maybe we played ball against each other or something.

I pretty much have yes vs no power with regards to hires on my team at work, and I really don't care where someone went to college, really only about their relevant work experience.

It depends on who you are dealing with and where.

Yup. When asked where you went to school, it’s HS they are asking, not college. We moved here when I was in middle school (I’m old now, that’s how long ago) and I recall my mom mentioning how odd it was bc in other places it means what college.

declining private school enrollment as a whole is causing that. Heck very very few are turning many kids away it's a growing trend.

I think outside of U-High, if you can pay the tuition you'll get in other than if the kid is a behavioral problem.
yes, Jesuit still has a waiting list but it is 200-300 less than 10 years ago if not more.

So is the $17,000. a year tuition for high school the reason for the decline in private school enrollment???

Chalmette is the biggest public school in the state.

We’re the biggest in the NOLA area but smaller than Dutchtown and Denham Springs and possibly West Monroe

But yeah change your thread title because I was just about to post how we almost joined the Catholic League again this time around… but I believe we’ll be happier in district 7-5A with the Slidell schools and Fontainebleau. Maybe if we can beat Holy Cross soon we’ll be ready for the Catholic League again
